Former Bangladeshi PM charged with murder

Police have charged former PM Sheikh Hasina with arranging the murders of several rivals during political riots in Dhaka, Bangladesh, last October. Bangladesh's interim military government, which has been in place since January, says it must combat corruption before allowing elections.

Four Serbs convicted in Srebrenica murders

Four members of a Serbian paramilitary group received jail time on Tuesday for the videotaped execution of six Bosnian Muslims in 1995. However, many human-rights groups decried the ruling, which refused to connect the murders with the Srebrenica Massacre happening 90 miles away.

Hunger strike grips Gitmo

An increasing number of prisoners at Guantanamo Bay have gone on hunger strikes, leading them to be force-fed through tubes. The prisoners' lawyers say they are protesting treatment at Camp 6, the new high-security prison where inmates are confined 22 hours a day.
